le 26 decembre

The last day with out host families. A super packed day from the start. Bed calls, so I will save a full recap. Perhaps the greatest moments of PST:

After dinner and gifts to the host family, I helped throw one last dance party with the kids in the street by our house. Besides my fam, there were some friends hanging around our house. Then a friend brought a few kids from their family. As is now custom, I carried the radio (attached to a friend's iPod) on my shoulder like a 90's rapper to our spot, and the kids flocked to the music. Lots of PCT's came, the most of any of our dance parties. We had at least a big a group as any of our other ones. One PCT pulled out his back flip. We got water to put down on the sand so dust wouldn't get anywhere. Without my PCV friend who went home to help. And, another friend had the Shakira song from the World Cup on his iPod, finally someone had this. So we played it, after a false start, it got going. ALL the kids know the words in the chorus, and practically everyone was dancing. Another friend turned his flashlight on strobe and stood on the wall of the adjacent concession and put the strobe on us. I looked around and realized this is one of those great moments...all the kids were smiling and dancing, all my friends were dancing....one of those shared moments that united a stage, integrates the PCV into the community...words fail it. But perhaps the greatest moments of PST.

Despite a minimal amount of minor hiccups, day seized.
